Traveling With Pets: Here’s What Helps Us Feel More Prepared

Bringing pets on the road can feel a little overwhelming at first. We definitely felt that way when we started. Our dogs, Dixie and Macy, are part of the family, and we wanted to make sure they were safe, comfortable, and able to enjoy the RV lifestyle right along with us.

Meet Dixie and Macy 🐾

One of our first purchases was a portable dog fence to give them a secure space outside. We knew they’d love lounging in the fresh air, but we also needed something that would keep them contained while we relaxed or worked nearby.

After doing some research, we found an RV fence for pets (and in our case, specifically large dogs) that’s worked really well. It’s available in different heights and panel counts, which makes it easy to customize. We chose the 45-inch height with 16 panels to start. So far, it looks to be one that can give Dixie and Macy plenty of space to roam, and if we need more room later, we can always add on.

We’ll post photos and updates once it's set up. The girls are already dreaming of their new outdoor hangout spot!
